1. What (and how many books) have you released? What are they about? I have two books published under my name, but I have other works released under a pen name. Tree of Life is the very first book I wrote. It's about Deacon a young mortal mage, who is raised in the elven realm after he's rescued from his necromancer father. Growing up among perfection, Deacon becomes jealous of the elves and hates Nature. He sets out to destroy them, but along the way he falls in love with a beautiful dark priestess and she tries to stop him. I wanted to explore the idea of what it would be like as a human living among perfection. As a mortal would I try elevate myself to an elven level and would my short comings drive me to insane jealousy, or would I simply enjoy being immersed in an ageless world, experiencing all I could for the brief time I had there? Guardian is completely different. It's set in a world where vampires are openly mixing in society, but they’re under heavy restriction...

1.) What (and how many books) have you released? What are they about? I've released a book and a short story so far. The book is called Weaver , and it's my attempt to put a slightly different spin on the "team of FBI agents investigate supernatural events" genre of sci-fi that's sprung up starting with The X-Files and continuing with shows like Fringe. I took that, threw in a little Buffy , and voila! The short story is called The Antlerbury Tales , and it's essentially a five-thousand word homage to the classical fantasy and role-playing cultures. It's in the mold of stories like The Princess Bride and Spaceballs -- a loving satire of the source material. 2. Which, if any, character do you feel has the most of your characteristics (or acts the most like you do)? Tough question, because all of my characters have at least a little piece of me in them. The obvious answer is to say Hunter, the protagonist of my new novel, Atticus for the Undead , ...

My Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆ Goodreads Description: Emily wished she was invisible. But after moving to a new town with her dad, a charming boy makes it impossible for her to disappear. Despite her feelings of unworthiness, Emily soon finds herself drawn to the safety of Jake's world. Good looking and the star of the hockey team, Jake has a lot going for him. What most people don't see is the difficult life he has at home. When quiet Emily steals his heart, Jake vows to help her discover she is worthy of love. Just when the two of them realize the sweetness of their relationship, they are put to the test. Only together can they overcome their haunted pasts to fight for a future together. My Review: This is a very different type of review for me. Sweetness is not paranormal, though it is young adult fiction - but once I found out that the author was a self-published, teen author (I spoke in my last post about how much I appriciate that dynamic!), I knew I had to read it anyway. ...
