Review: Strange Angels Series by Lili St. Crow
Goodreads Description:
Dru Anderson has what her grandmother called "the touch." (Comes in handy when you're traveling from town to town with your dad, hunting ghosts, suckers, wulfen, and the occasional zombie.)
Then her dad turns up dead - but still walking - and Dru knows she's next. Even worse, she's got two guys hungry for her affections, and they're not about to let the fiercely independent Dru go it alone. Will Dru discover just how special she really is before coming face-to-fang with whatever - or whoever - is hunting her?
Goodreads Description:
She's no angel . . . Poor Dru Anderson. Her parents are long gone, her best friend is a werewolf, and she's just learned that the blood flowing through her veins isn't entirely human. (So what else is new?)
Now Dru is stuck at a secret New England Schola for other teens like her, and there's a big problem - she's the only girl in the place. A school full of cute boys wouldn't be so bad, but Dru's killer instinct says that one of them wants her dead. And with all eyes on her, discovering a traitor within the Order could mean a lot more than social suicide. . . Can Dru survive long enough to find out who has betrayed her trust - and maybe even her heart?
Goodreads Description:
It’s a good thing Dru Anderson is fast. Because the sucker chasing her isn’t slowing down—and he won’t rest until he has tasted her blood and silenced her heart . . .
Dru’s best friend, Graves, and her strange and handsome savior, Christophe, are ready to help her take on the ultimate evil. But will their battle for Dru’s heart get in the way of her survival?

My Rating: ☆☆☆☆
Goodreads Description:
Now that sixteen-year-old Dru's worst fears have come true and Sergej has kidnapped her best friend Graves, she'll have to go on a suicidal rescue mission to bring him back in one piece.
That is, if she can put all of Christophe's training to good use, defeat her mother's traitor, Anna, once and for all, and manage to survive another day. . .
Overall Series Review: ☆☆☆☆☆
This series is fantastic. The first thing I noticed about Dru, is she's brillant and hilarious. She maintains this strong, sarcastic, yet still so completely human voice (whether that's what she is... or not) that never wavers.
The few things that Dru Anderson knows to be true are what keeps her grounded - she know's they're not much, but they are all she has: her mother is gone, her father is her family, the Real World is always going to kick down her door, she's against the wall and she's locked and loaded.
As awesome as this heroine is, this girl doesn't get a break. Her house of cards crashes around her after a life game of Jenga. Everything that she knows starts ticking off around her: her mother, her grandmother, her father, her humanity, her safety.
The girl's left with few to trust, the only one who ever actually has her back is Graves: a best friend, loyal and gothic loup-garou that's half wolf and all boy. There's the sexy, apple-pie smelling Christophe, who only shows up at the last minute to stop the stuff from hitting the fan - but it's impossible to know and trust something so unclear and abstract.
If she's not beaten and abused, she's still being hunted and left out of the loop of information. Traitors are everywhere she looks, even when she knows she can't see.
Whether she's tying a newly made loup-garou up in her house, locked in a room with a Broken, killing the only zombie she's ever cared about, standing as the only girl in a private academy filled with supernatural boys, or listening to waxen oranges and ghostly Aspect owls to keep her out of danger and never out of trouble, she's always moving forward, one step at a time with an iron fist, fluttering heart, and leather boot.
I really loved these books! Dru's hardy but still gentle and funny. I seriously recommend the series, even if some books are better than the others. They're funny, riveting, brillant, and gripping in every sense of the words.
I can't wait to read the next installment in the series!!
