As you all know, I am a fan of YA novels. I am also a fan of vampire novels. Between my two loves, I had thought I had experienced the majority of what the genre could provide me, until I discovered independent author, Elizabeth Loraine!

In this delightful novel, based in the 1800s, we discover the amazing Katrina - a seventeen-year-old sword yielding, independent, compassionate, fascinating heroine who happens to be a vampire. But, don't get me wrong, she is not your everyday blood sucking variety! She has an amazing destiny to fulfill as one of the five and the watchers will help her see to it!

I don't believe in giving spoilers, but let me promise you this....If you like STRONG heroines who know how to fight for what they believe in as much as they love passionately, you will adore this novel. Also - although technically a YA genre novel, all you moms like me out there will sink into Loraine's dreamy world and enjoy the escape it provides. Full of beautifully written prose, this novel has a great narrative drive and you will fly through it.

Did I mention this is the first in the series??? Oh, go ahead and buy the others while you have the chance, you will want to read straight through.

This is an author you don't want to miss out on and if all becomes fair in the world, an agent will sweep her up and she will be published by Random house or one of the other big publishing companies.

I will be reading more from this author!

So, where can you get this amazing read? How about on Amazon here!
